ActionMailer doesn't set @template_format when rendering layouts

NextpulseI am seeing something similar in 2.3 also.
app/views.layouts/foo.text.html.erb
app/views.layouts/foo.text.plain.erbFor the multi-part mailer - it is always picking up and wrapping the each part with foo.text.html.erb
If I remove foo.text.html.erb, then it correctly wraps the text part in foo.text.html.erb. And the html part is unwrapped.
