Malformed XML request returns vague error
Reported by Nate | March 3rd, 2009 @ 04:49 AM | in 3.x
When sending a malformed xml request on rails 2.3 rc1, you receive a vague error leading the user to believe the problem is an application one instead of an input one.
http://github.com/rails/rails/bl...
throws an exception which is re-raised below:
http://github.com/rails/rails/bl...
which is then rescued and returns a response from:
http://github.com/rails/rails/bl...
The response is a generic 500 error html response (and it should be at least returning an xml response).
I'm not sure where to begin with fixing this, any ideas?
