Zlib::BufError

C:>gem install fastercsv
ERROR: While executing gem ... (Zlib::BufError)

buffer error

Through Blog reference i tried updating the gem system but the result is as below

C:>gem update --system
Updating RubyGems
ERROR: While executing gem … (Zlib::BufError)
buffer error

with this error i am not able to install any gem. Any suggestions will be great.

Below are the configuration details

OS : Windows XP
Ruby Version : ruby 1.8.6 (2007-09-24 patchlevel 111) [i386-mswin32]
RubyGems Version : 1.3.3
Rails Version : Rails 2.3.2
