assert_template changed behavior in Rails 3 beta2

Reported by Simone Carletti | April 11th, 2010 @ 06:21 PM

Until Rails 3beta1 the following assertions worked perfectly.

assert_template "about/index"
assert_template "about/index.html.erb"

In Rails 3 beta2 the second assertion fails.

assert_template "about/index.html.erb"

expecting <"about/index.html.erb"> but rendering with <"layouts/_analytics, layouts/application, about/index">

Basically because the action responds to different formats and I want to be sure the right template for the right format is rendered.

This was a bad change and should be changed back. I'll look into writing a patch.
