Needed: a config to set preferred html version => :html5, :xhtml5 (default)
Reported by shane becker | December 11th, 2010 @ 10:42 PM
I'd like this to exist.
To this:
config/application.rb
module Appname
class Application < Rails::Application
config.encoding = "utf-8"
config.filter_parameters += [:password]
end
end
I would like to add:
config.html_version = :html5
The default should probably stay the xml style html5:
config.html_version = :xhtml5
So that methods like:
stylesheet_link_tag() and javascript_include_tag(), amongst others,
could use the attribute style of my preference.
For example, currently:
javascript_include_tag :rails => <script src="/javascripts/rails.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
I want:
javascript_include_tag :rails => <script src="/javascripts/rails.js"></script>
And:
stylesheet_link_tag "application" => <link href="/stylesheets/application.css" media="screen" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
I want:
stylesheet_link_tag "application" %> => <link href="/stylesheets/application.css" media="screen" rel="stylesheet" />
Or in the case of booleans attributes like:
<video controls="controls">
or
<option selected="selected">
I'd like the implicit HTML5 versions:
<video controls>
or
<option selected>
