time_select can't edit back to blank value

Reported by fcarrettoni (at gmail) | December 23rd, 2010 @ 06:40 AM

I'm really new to rails and i'm loving it. This is my first ticket so I'm sorry is this is not clear. Maybe this can be helpful!

I have a <%= f.time_select(:start_time, :minute_step => 30, :include_blank => true) %> which works, though if I select a time and then want to edit it back and remove it by setting in to blank, I get "00:00" instead of blank. I'm on rails 3.0.0 btw

I think ticket has the patch with logic that when null values are passed in the time_select, the attribute can be nullified.

Please check the patch in that ticket.
