Update prototype helper to support onCreate callback

Is there a reason why the onCreate callback is not supported by the prototype helpers? I propose the attached change.

    Confirmed as still a problem in 2.1.1 - This is such a small tweak, and prototype supports it already, it should be as simple as applying a patch.
