info (at tomrothe)

form_for wrong url creation for nested routes

Reported by info (at tomrothe) | March 25th, 2009 @ 01:59 PM | in 3.x

if you have a nested route like this:

map.resources :x do |x| x.resources :y, :controller => :z end

note: that the route is called y and the controller z

the route automatically generated by:

form_for [@x, @z]

uses the controller name z, which should be y. detail: the form_for method internally uses the method x_z_path, but this method does not exist since the method used should be x_y_path
