deprecated warning for dom_id

Calling dom_id returns:
warning: Object#id will be deprecated; use Object#object_id
easily fixed by calling record.object_id instead of record.id.

That would however break things. dom_id is supposed to be using id (the primary key from the database) not object_id (some random transient identifier). If you're getting this warning it's probably because you are passing nil to dom_id.
