Reported by Bogdan Gusiev | February 24th, 2010 @ 12:08 PM

Hi all,

ActiveRecord throws ConfigurationError on calling count method with :include parameter given as Hash.

class Project < ActiveRecord::Base

belongs_to :user

end

Project.count(:include => {:user => true})

ActiveRecord::ConfigurationError: true

I know that somebody may consider this example as esoteric but sometimes :include option comes to .count from preceding named scope call like this:
Controller code:
@projects = Project.network_of(current_user) # Suppose #network_of to be the named scope that uses :include parameter.

Somewhere in the view:
@projects.count # results in error

ActiveRecord gem version 2.3.5
