I am receiving an error when starting a rails server

Am running ruby ver 1.87, Ubuntu 10.04,gem ver 1.3.6,rails-3.0.0.beta3

when i run $ruby script/rails server thin

to start the server i get this error, i have tried for two days without a solution can someone help me?

You'll need to add gem 'thin' to the project's Gemfile.
