formatting strings break errors.full_messages (documentation problem)
Reported by Michael Glass | June 1st, 2010 @ 08:27 PM
Hey there. Just upgraded from 2.3.5 to 2.3.8. A coworker had added a validation message that was prefixed with "%Y". errors.full_messages in 2.3.8 tries to use it as a printf format string and things die.
It should be documented that printf format strings are no longer valid in validation error messages.
(eg: errors.add(:new_email, "%You've gotta give an e-mail") works in 2.3.5, causes i18n to cry like a baby)
