Rails 2.3.8 serialization strange error

Hello everybody.
So, this is my model:
class OrderedItem < ActiveRecord::Base
serialize :data, HashWithIndifferentAccess
end
and this is part of controller:
logger.info(@ordered_item.data.class) #=> output: HashWithIndifferentAccess
logger.info(params[:order][:data]) #=> output: HashWithIndifferentAccess
@ordered_item.data = params[:order][:data] #=> error: ActiveRecord::SerializationTypeMismatch (data was supposed to be a HashWithIndifferentAccess, but was a String)
But when i do this fron console - all is okay.
