rails generate not taking command line arguments

Reported by MarianTheisen | October 28th, 2010 @ 05:41 PM

somehow command line arguments to e.g. 'rails g helper Foo -q' don't get interpreted by the generator command, but are taken as arguments to the ruby interpreter so i get:
"invalid option: -q" and a description of ruby command line args. im using rvm with ruby 1.8.7 patchlevel 302 on mac os x 10.6. bug occurs with rails 3.0.0 and 3.0.1.
