Naming collision when referring to delegatated 'App' model in console
Reported by twigbranch | November 20th, 2010 @ 12:04 AM
class Foo < ActiveRecord::Base
has_one :bar
delegate :app, :to => :bar
end
class Bar < ActiveRecord::Base
belongs_to :app
end
class App < ActiveRecord::Base
end
In console:
Foo.first.app.class
=> ActionDispatch::Integration::Session
It seems to think I'm actually calling console's 'app' method.
Why this appears to be a bug:
- From what I can tell 'App' is not reserved (and is an important
name, like Friend, or Book, or Comment, etc to have available),
- Bar.app returns the actual App object
- this only occurs in console

- Importance changed from to Low
The example can be simplified by defining #app in Bar as a normal method.
