Invalid SQL query logged when escaping characters in query
Reported by Robert Pankowecki | November 26th, 2010 @ 01:31 PM
Tests on Postgresql. Might not work on other databases too.
at = Translation::Default.arel_table
x = "%\\_%"
Translation::Default.where(at[:parent_id].matches(x)).count
=> 3288
The query in my log is:
SQL (18.6ms) SELECT COUNT(*) FROM "translation_defaults" WHERE
("translation_defaults"."parent_id" ILIKE '%\_%')
But executing such query via psql leads to different count (4156).
Executing the query:
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM "translation_defaults"
WHERE ("translation_defaults"."parent_id" ILIKE '%\\_%')
gives 3288 as a result.
So I think that the right query is execute but it is logged improperly.
