Rails Ruby on Rails → 2.x

When rendering this code get set in the view it chews up ram like no tomorrow. Not sure why its doing this because the code is right as far as I know. you can watch ruby go from 30ish megs to 1.98gigs and 4.5 gigs of virtual memory.
