    This ticket is invalid. Dirty checking will only currently work if you replace an attribute with a new value, not edit it in place.

    I can't recreate this, it seems to work for me.

    Can you either attach a failing test case, or provide more details of when/where this bug occurs?

    Problem was that in some cases value is compared against database result, but not first converted to string. Here's a patch to rectify this.

    FYI: action_view/template_handlers/builder.rb sets the mimetype to XML if it hasn't been set beforehand

    That specific problem (the plugin-with-hyphenated-name) loading issue was fixed in #24. I got tripped up by that too.
