Sorry, the above example is slightly incorrect, I have taken out possibility of Hash attributes to retain API consistency, although I liked it.

As discussed and described in the old Rails Trac already, it would be good to be able to specify custom inflection rules and strings for #humanize:

Sorry for not including them in the first patch, I was a bit in a hurry earlier.

It turned out that the form builder (f.) helpers of date_select, datetime_select and time_select ignore the html_options you pass to it.

I can reproduce this exact error, using the same configuration but Rails 2.1 stable gem. sqlite3 tests also pass for me.

It works perfectly on my local machin...
