    It was a problem we had in a controller - I had switched the find to all, and it stopped working for my coworker. I asked him to test and he could not recreate...

    ActiveRecord::Base.all(:limit => 10)

    returns all the records.

    ActiveRecord::Base.find(:all, :limit => 10)

    returns 10 records.
