    I can confirm the bug and that the patch fixes it.

    Example XML:

    "<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>\n

    can't typecast "16"

    ONLY on ruby 1.9, 1.8 runs fine w/...

    +1 this feature in core. Rails 2.3 brokes the eager load (on the plugin) when you include some model in the nested chain.. trying to fix....
