    This is an intended behavoir. reload! undefines all your constants, so they can be auto-required by ActiveSupport next time you use them.

    Automatic dependency loading is not thread safe, that's why it is being disabled.

    Also checkout what happens in load_application_classes method if cache_classes...

    I'm pretty sure config.threadsafe! auto-requires all *.rb files it can find in your app on start up.

    I think this is fixed in 2-3-stable and I'm pretty sure the current master's Path implementation is immune to this bug.

    rubyamf might be somehow breaking things for you. Neverthless even with rubyamf installed as a plugin and Rails v2.3.2.1 in vendor/rails I do get an error about...
