The issue reported in ticket 2831 regarding ActiveSupport::JSON.decode seems to have show up in 2.3.5. It looks like the patch was only applied to the 2.3.2 bra...

This issue is present in the 2.3.5 release. It looks like the patch was only applied to the 2.3.2 branch and didn't make it beyond that.
