With Ruby, we can use #method to do something like this:

rvm use system
rvn use 1.9.2-head

switching out of the ruby version, then back into it clears up the issue.

My bad, it was an oversight on my part. I updated the code accordingly.

I'm on Mac 10.5

Here are my steps.

rvm install 1.9.2-head
rvm use 1.9.2-head
gem install rails --pre
rails newapp
updated my Gemfile to have:
