    @pleax I i disagree with your comment, as Federico and Arpit mentioned, the cloned objects shall be treated as new records then it follows that cloned object...

    Perhaps changing ActiveSupport::StringInquirer and making it able to, depending on a [environment].rb, use a config.test = true or something like that?
