ActiveSupport timezone tests: silence_warnings still needed?

many of the time zone related tests in ActiveSupport are wrapped in a call to "silence_warnings"


silence_warnings do # silence warnings raised by tzinfo gem
  ...      
end

is this really needed? I don't seem to get any warnings if I remove all those calls (patch attached)
