Make escape_javascript helper a little more duck friendly

Updated method to use to_s instead of raising exception when passed a numeric argument. Existing code handled nil in similar manner and as we Rubyists usually aren't in the habit of ensuring the class of return values, it seemed a logical implementation here as well. As always open to suggestions and questions.
