Inflector bug, changes ves -> fe

inflect.singular(/([^f])ves$/i, '\1fe')
This is a typo, it should be changes to ve. Example:
"raves".singularize gives "rafe"

Rails has a policy of not accepting more inflections.

To clarify, this inflection is there for "knives" => "knife", and "calves" => "calf" etc.
