[ERB] Error page shows wrong line number, if page contains multiple line comments.
Reported by Vikrant Chaudhary | May 12th, 2010 @ 06:55 AM
Try this -
<%#
#Hello, world!
#
#
#
%>
A
B
C
D
<%= Time.now %>
E
F
G
H
<%= nil.now %><%#NoMethodError, yes. %>
Now the error page shows -
NoMethodError in ####
undefined method `now' for nil:NilClass
Extracted source (around line #12):
9: B
10: C
11: D
12: <%= Time.now %>
13: E
14: F
15: G
Sometimes it leads to very hard debugging.
I'm using (Rails 2.3.5, Ubuntu 10.04 x64, ruby 1.8.7 (2010-01-10
patchlevel 249) [x86_64-linux]).

- Tag changed from erb, views to bugmash, erb, views
- State changed from new to incomplete
unsure if this is a Rails bug, more like an ERB bug. Bugmash will investigate.
