Can't use dom_id with other objects like Hash
Reported by Gudata | September 18th, 2010 @ 11:47 AM
dom_id should work with all kind of objects.
In Rails 3.0 I can't use anymore dom_id with a Hash probably it wont work for arrays also.
I have to patched Hash (see bellow) and it works but it is ugly. Maybe some big part of ActiveModel is missing in the Hash or I don't know how to implement it.
# Patch the ActionController::RecordIdentifier.dom_id to work with hash
class Hash
extend ActiveModel::Naming
def to_key
[self.object_id.abs]
end
def name
self.name
end
def self.name
"Hash"
end
end
