response.rendered has been deprecated. Use template.rendered instead

Upgrading to Rails 3.0.3 I am seeing the above deprecation warning.
The line generating the warning:
actual_template = @response.rendered[:template].to_s
changing this to template.rendered did not seem to work for me.
Having a quick look through the code I noticed there does seem
to be
a '@templates' variable.
I am using a little helper to get the 'primary' template,
Am I using this incorrectly? Should the warning be revised?
