Ability to pass params to the routers
Reported by amrnt | January 12th, 2011 @ 01:53 AM
Couple days ago, I was trying to make my rails application has a one-level-url like in Facebook and Quora.
I dag little bit and i guessed i found a solution. But
unfortunately Rails 3.0.3 doesn't pass params
to the
routers.
match '/:slug', :controller => proc { Slug.find_by_slug(params[:slug]).controller }.call, :action => :show
But I could pass params to the redirect
method in
the router.
match "/stories/:name" => redirect("/posts/%{name}")
So, it could be a feature to make the routers able to access
params
!
