    To fix this issue, I install the ruby-pg gem

    gem install ruby-pg

    This gem is in version 0.7.9.2008.01.28

    In rubyforge, the gem postgres is ruby-pg to.

    Just a note - according to: https://rubyforge.org/forum/foru... the gem is called "pg" not "ruby-pg" these days. A quick seems to confirm that "gem install ruby-pg" will not get the latest pg gem.
