    Why don't you just use this:

    class UsersController < ApplicationController
  before_filter :log_filter_call, :only => [:index, :show]
  # ...
end

    FYI, only seeing this in 1.8.7 although I don't consideer this a bug, since the round extension is for Floats not Fixnums.
