#3302 ✓stale
Andrew Selder

Updated_at different for original object vs. retrieved object

Reported by Andrew Selder | September 28th, 2009 @ 11:40 PM

a = ArClass.create
b = ArClass.find(a.id)

a.updated_at == b.updated_at => false

It appears that when the object is created, the underlying Ruby returns a floating point time. Then when the object is retrieved that precision is lost.

AR should probably ensure that these values are consistent

Mac OS X 10.6, Ruby 1.8.7p72, Rails 2.3.4, Mysql behind the class.
