ActiveRecord does not serialize core data types
Reported by Master Lambaster | July 13th, 2010 @ 09:28 AM
ActiveRecord serialize seems not properly handling core data
types like Fixnum, Float etc with class constraint and without
it.
I don't know is this bug or it's how AR serialization is designed
to work.
Anyway tests are attached. Same issue on master and 2-3-stable.
One of the test is rather a suggestion: allow to set multiple
class constraints for serialization via array.
For instance:
class Topic < ActiveRecord::Base
serialize :content, [Trend, Subject]
end
