register_javascript_include_default
Reported by Marc-André Lafortune | August 4th, 2010 @ 05:21 AM
I'm skeptical at the usefulness of breaking compatibility by removing 'register_javascript_include_default': http://github.com/rails/rails/commit/97b773303d1fd3c585957b9d4d2bf9...
Wasn't this the accepted way to add a javascript file? Actually, the rdoc still states that's the way to go! See http://github.com/rails/rails/blob/master/actionpack/lib/action_vie...
3 choices, in my personal order of preference:
1) Re-introduce register_javascript_include_default
2) Re-introduce register_javascript_include_default with a
deprecation warning, and update the rdoc
3) Update the rdoc

- State changed from new to resolved
- Importance changed from to Low
Use config.action_view.javascript_expansions in config/application.rb for this now.
I have removed reference to this method in the documentation in docrails @ ef74ad8
